The BRUTAL and UNSOLVED murder of Alexander Norval, 1910 // Carlisle // True Crime

Loading

Carlisle, November 5, 1910,- Alexander Norval was brutally murdered inside his warehouse, a crime that sent shockwaves through the community.

He was found bludgeoned to death, struck repeatedly around the head with an axe.

Suspicion quickly fell on his son, Archibald Norval, who was charged with the heinous crime but despite the grim circumstances, the evidence against Archibald was insufficient, and he was acquitted in court.

The lack of concrete proof left investigators grasping at straws, and the case grew cold and over a century later, the murder of Alexander Norval remains unsolved.
