Sheila Fox was just six years old when she vanished without a trace one afternoon after leaving school in Farnworth, a small town haunted by her disappearance ever since.

It was 1944, and young Sheila’s absence cast a shadow over the town, igniting a fear that would only deepen in the coming years.

Though searches and inquiries were conducted, no clues emerged to explain her fate.

In the following years, other children—Patricia McKeown and Brenda Hulme would be attacked under mysterious circumstances, each case adding to the growing sense of unease and suspicion gripping the community.

The tension reached a tragic peak in 1948 with the murder of Jack Quentin Smith as well as an attack on his best friend, David Lee.

This marked a devastating culmination of a series of crimes that left Farnworth desperate for answers, but with no one to hold accountable.

To this day, the fates of these children remain unsolved, leaving a chilling legacy in the quiet town.

This is the REAL story of the FARNWORTH CHILDREN.

Hello, I know the lady with you is Vicki but not your name? I have just watched the video of the Farnworth Children! Enjoyed it very much though probably “enjoyed” the wrong word to describe it but very interesting! Your theories are good. Very well could have been the one who hanged for killing the two boys in the 50’s. An aunt of mine told me about Sheila Fox years ago and maybe she was taken by a gypsy? Think travellers still stay in the Farnworth areas? Or maybe the man just took the opportunity? I am interested to know if Patricia, Brenda and David are still alive? They were terrible attacks and in those days not common like today! Regarding Jack Quentin Smith, Farnworth Cemetery should have the records of the burials or the Town Hall? My niece told me to view this video, glad I did! Thank you.
