The Bus Station KILLER! 12 Years to SOLVE the murder of SHIRLEY LEACH

Loading

On the night of January 6, 1994, 66-year-old Shirley Leach, a loving mother and grandmother, stepped into the toilets at Bury Interchange, unknowingly walking straight into the clutches of a monster. She had been visiting her daughter at Fairfield General Hospital, a simple act of care that would unknowingly lead her to a gruesome, nightmarish end.

Her partially naked body was discovered hours later, crumpled in a grimy, half-closed cubicle sometime around 4:15 a.m. The widow had been strangled, her body desecrated in an act of unthinkable violence. Mutilated and left like discarded trash, her final moments had been nothing short of pure horror.

Hours earlier, Shirley had boarded the 469 bus to Bury town centre. Her grandson, Darren, had been the last of her loved ones to see her alive. He waved her goodbye at Bell Lane, unaware that his grandmother was about to cross paths with a predator lurking in the shadows.

This is the story of that one moment in time.
