Her body was found three days later, discarded on the moors, her tiny frame bearing the marks of unspeakable cruelty. The horror of her murder sent shockwaves through the community, igniting a desperate hunt for her killer. But in the rush to find justice, the system failed—not only Lesley but another innocent soul.
Stefan Kiszko was a man who lived a quiet, isolated life, vulnerable and trusting, much like Lesley herself. Yet he became the perfect scapegoat. A wrongful conviction stole 16 years from him, years spent suffering behind bars for a crime he could never have committed. By the time the truth was uncovered, the damage was irreversible.
