Rachel Kay was a 62 year old single woman, living with her sister Alice Ann at number 174 Holcombe Road, Helmshore.

Excited about an impending week’s holiday over in Southport, she set off on foot to walk the short distance to Helmshore Station. Unfortunately, this would be her last walk.

This is a short video where we remember one of the many local’s from Helmshore.
