A tragic death and a local folk tale of paranormal shenanigans! Check out our latest video where we discuss the death of a local cotton weaver by the name of James Trickett and that of ‘owd Jim, a mischevious spirit who haunts the area where James’ body was discovered.

James had suffered from severe pains for almost ten years prior to his death, but he was always a pleasant character and never once showed any frustrations and never let his ailments get him down.

And yet on Monday, 4th October 1915, he sadly took his own life.
