In this sixth part of a series of upcoming videos, we are revisiting the sight of the Helmshore Rail crash that took place on the 4th September 1860.

Here, we visited the final resting places of both Thomas Blythe and Richard Heap, two of the eleven victims who sadly perished in the early hours during the rail crash.

We have also incorporated a few minutes talking about Isabella Hindle and John Hartley, who are both interred within two different areas over in Accrington. Unfortunately, both of their final resting locations could not be found due to modernisation of both graveyards. One has been tarmacked over and the other, all of the standing grave headstones have been removed.

We have set up a GoFundMe page for donations to allow us to collect money for the purchase of a memorial plaque and fi you can, please donate as little or as much as you possibly can to help.
