On Tuesday, the 8th November, 1892 – 9 year old Alice Barnes had spent the early part of the day at school and returned home at around noon. After washing some dishes, she would leave home just before 1pm with her sister, Mary, to take check on some cows in the pastures within Witton Park.

This was the last time her family would see her alive.

But who was responsible for her death? And was the wrong man sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit? And what about a RED looking handkerchief that would prove pivitol in the arrest of one suspect?

This is the compelling and true story of ALICE BARNES.
