Who Killed Wendy Sewell? And Is Stephen Downing Innocent or Guilty?

Loading

In this video, we cover the murder of Wendy Sewell and that of Stephen Downing, a case that involved the conviction and imprisonment in 1974 of a 17-year-old council worker, Stephen Downing, for the murder of a 32-year-old legal secretary, Wendy Sewell, in the town of Bakewell in the Peak District in Derbyshire.

Stephen would be incarcerated in prison for over 27 years in what has since been described as the longest miscarriage of justice in British legal history.

But, was Stephen innocent of the murder of Wendy Sewell or is there more to the story?
